Stuart is a counsellor and psychotherapist for children and young people (4-25 years). Stuart founded The OCD Stories podcast in 2015, which has since been downloaded over 5m times globally. In 2018 he was given the hero award for his OCD advocacy by the International OCD Foundation (IOCDF). He works integratively, drawing on attachment theory, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), compassion-focused therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, sandplay therapy, and child-centred play-therapy. Whether working short-term or long-term, he focuses on developing a safe, compassionate and secure relationship with his clients. Stuart is also trained in SPACE: Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions which is a parent-based treatment program for children and adolescents with anxiety, OCD, and related problems.
